How many days do I need in Jordan?

The length of time depends on the breadth and depth of your visit to Jordan. A 7-day tour is suitable for you to explore the highlights in Jordan, during when you can set foot in major cities or sites like Amman, Jerash, Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. But is you prefer an in-depth tour, 10 days or more would be better.

Can I combine my visit to Jordan with another country?

Is it a common practice to give tips in Jordan?

Yes, actually tipping is not mandatory but highly appreciated in Jordan. Commonly, you should tip around 10% of the bill to the waiter at the restaurant, USD 5-10 per traveler per day to the guide, USD 6-8 per traveler per day to the driver. However, you may pay more or less depending on their services.

Is it common to use credit cards in Jordan?

Visa and Master Card are widely accepted in Jordan at restaurants, hotels and large shops. But small shops and souks usually prefer cash payments in Jordanian Dinars, so it is advisable to carry some cash for paying snacks, beverages and souvenirs.

How can I obtain my visa to Jordan?

Most people will need a visa to travel to Jordan. Those from up to 140 countries such as America, Britain, Canada, Australia, etc. are able to obtain a Jordan visa on arrival (single entry and stay up to 30 days).

Documents required for visa on arrival:
1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.
2. Return-trip tickets and proof of a hotel reservation.
3. Evidence of adequate finance.
4. Jordan Visa on Arrival fee (JOD40).

If you are not eligible for a visa on arrival or intend to stay for more than a month, you will need to apply for a Jordan visa at an Embassy. Please check the relevant embassy/consulate website for specific required documents.
