Today is yours to explore Broome at your own pace and soak in its distinctive charm. You may choose a scenic flight over the spectacular Horizontal Falls, take a guided tour of a pearl farm, visit Matso’s Brewery—Australia’s most remote brewery—or enjoy a camel ride along Cable Beach as the sun sets over the ocean.

Just outside Broome, Gantheaume Point is renowned for its ancient reef rock that preserves plant fossils and dinosaur footprints dating back around 125 million years, making it one of the world’s most significant paleontological locations. Walk along this remarkable coastline in the footsteps of prehistoric giants before leaving the ocean behind and traveling inland into the heart of the Kimberley.
Before reaching Fitzroy Crossing—an important gateway for exploring nearby Geikie Gorge—enjoy a peaceful cruise through the gorge’s calm waters. As you glide along, take in the towering rock walls and keep an eye out for the vibrant wildlife that inhabits this striking natural setting.

- Day 4: Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek – Aboriginal Art & Culture
Travel westward for around three hours to reach Halls Creek, an important center for the region’s Indigenous communities. Visit a local Indigenous art gallery showcasing works by more than 100 Aboriginal artists, featuring diverse styles that reflect stories of heritage, daily life, and cultural traditions. This visit also offers a meaningful chance to purchase authentic artworks directly from local creators.
The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Halls Creek at your own pace, discovering a town deeply connected to Australia’s history and Indigenous culture.

- Day 5: Halls Creek to Emma Gorge – Argyle Diamonds & Outback Wilderness
Today’s journey leads north for around 400 km to the stunning Emma Gorge. En route, visit the renowned Argyle Diamond Mine, once responsible for producing more than 90% of the world’s rare pink and red diamonds. Accompanied by an Indigenous guide, gain insight into the diamond mining process and discover the mine’s deep cultural importance to the local Aboriginal communities.
Continue along the iconic Gibb River Road into the heart of El Questro Wilderness Park. After roughly two hours, arrive at Emma Gorge Resort, beautifully set beneath the striking red cliffs of the Cockburn Ranges. Spend the night in a safari-style tented cabin and fully embrace the serenity of the surrounding natural landscape.

- Day 6: Discover El Questro Wilderness Park
Begin the day with a satisfying breakfast on the resort’s spacious veranda, enjoying sweeping views of the rugged mountain ranges. Then set out on a gentle cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, where dramatic cliffs rise up to 60 meters above the water. This scenic journey offers an excellent introduction to El Questro Wilderness Park, highlighting its striking outback scenery along with its distinctive plants and wildlife.
Later, enjoy lunch at the station before returning to Emma Gorge Resort. The afternoon is yours to unwind—take a refreshing swim in the pool or relax with a book on the private veranda of your cabin, surrounded by peaceful natural beauty.

- Day 7: Emma Gorge to Kununurra Experience
Depart Emma Gorge this morning and travel onward to Kununurra. Your first stop is a behind-the-scenes visit to the Hoochery, a family-owned rum distillery, where you will learn about the distilling process and enjoy a tasting of their signature Ord River Rum Cake with morning tea. Continue to the historic Durack Homestead Museum, then join your local guide for a relaxing cruise on the Ord River, surrounded by striking landscapes, abundant birdlife, and a spectacular sunset.

The journey offers sweeping views and a true sense of Australia’s vast interior.
Upon arrival in Katherine, you will be warmly welcomed by Golden Guitar award-winner Tom Curtain and his wife. Enjoy an engaging evening showcasing Northern Territory pastoral life, featuring real horse-starting, skilled working dog demonstrations, live country music, and entertaining bush stories that bring local culture and history to life.

- Day 10: Katherine to Darwin – Gorge Cruise & Farewell Evening
Begin the morning with a gentle cruise through Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park. Glide across calm waters while admiring the dramatic sandstone cliffs, spotting native wildlife, and learning about the deep cultural heritage and spiritual significance of the land to the Jawoyn people.
Later, continue north toward Darwin via the Stuart Highway, famously known as the Explorer’s Way. En route, pause at the Adelaide River War Cemetery to honor the servicemen and women who lost their lives during World War II.
