Top Marks to Odynovo
Vanessa and Susan With Private Guide Amine

Vanessa and Susan With Private Guide Amine I have just returned from a private 16-day tour of Morocco organised through my travel consultant Allison Chiang who has been my consultant since my first trip with Odynovo in 2014. We were picked up by Amine who was to be our driver throughout our trip. Amine asked if there was anything special we wanted to see or something we needed to just let him know and he would do his best. One of my wishes was to see a Horse Festival but having no set dates and held in villages I didn't get my hopes up. A few days before the end of our trip Amine had a surprise for us. My wish came true.

My Moroccan Journey
Marilou and Robert in Ouarzazate

Just returned from an amazing 16-day trip to Morocco planned and organized by Bruce at Odynovo. It was very well organized, no problems from start to finish and the price was reasonable for what you get. 5-star accommodations and many sites to see and activities to do. This was our second trip with Odynovo and I honestly can say any future trip that they go to, I will use them. Well organized, excellent communication, reasonable prices, trustworthy, always willing to accommodate and change itinerary. Our guide, Mohammed, was kind, gracious, a wealth of knowledge, and a very excellent driver in some crazy scenarios, such as Marrakesh. He even bought me a bottle of wine and a wonderful box of Moroccan cookies for my birthday.

Morocco Travel FAQs

A trip with Odynovo allows you to have a tour with freedom and flexibility. You decide where to visit, when to see, what to eat and where to stay.

Is there a dress code for tourists in Morocco?

Morocco is a Muslim country, so we recommend dressing modestly to respect local customs. Loose-fitting clothing is best, ideally covering shoulders, arms, and knees, and also offers some sun protection.

What is the best way to travel around Morocco?

Trains are available between Morocco's major cities, though they're limited in routes and can often run behind schedule. For the best experience, we recommend exploring Morocco by private car. It provides you flexibility, keeps your schedule on track, and allows you to reach remote areas to take in the stunning landscapes.

Is there public Wi-Fi in Morocco?

In Morocco's major cities like Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat, public places such as airports, hotels, and cafes generally have free Wi-Fi. However, connecting to the internet in remote areas can be challenging. If you're a heavy internet user, we recommend enabling international data roaming or purchasing a local Moroccan SIM card. Morocco has three main carriers - Maroc Telecom, Orange Morocco, and Inwi - each offering a variety of data plans to choose from.

Is it a common practice to give tips in Morocco?

Tipping has now become an accepted practice in Morocco as it is considered a gesture of appreciation for good service. Commonly, you should tip around 10% of the bill to the waiter at the restaurant, USD 5-10 per traveler per day to the guide, USD 6-8 per traveler per day to the driver. However, you may pay more or less depending on their services.

What can I eat and drink in Morocco?

Moroccan cuisine is renowned for its excellent cooking techniques, creatively blending aromatic spices with influences from Arab, French, and southern Spanish traditions. You can savor famous dishes like tagine and couscous. Morocco is also very vegetarian-friendly, so you're sure to find options that suit your preferences.

We recommend drinking bottled water, as tap water is not safe in Morocco. You can also enjoy a daily cup of famous Moroccan mint tea. Please note that not all bars and restaurants serve alcohol due to Islamic customs, but licensed stores and some international shops may offer it for purchase.
