- Day 2: Kings Canyon Rim Walk & Desert Wonders
Today is filled with memorable walks and striking outback views. Begin with a hearty breakfast at Kings Creek Station, where you’ll also hear stories about its origins and life in this remote region. Afterwards, tackle the steep stone steps leading up to the canyon rim. During the approximately 3-hour walk, take in sweeping desert panoramas and admire the dramatic landscapes stretching out in every direction. If time allows, continue to the tranquil Garden of Eden waterhole with your guide and enjoy a peaceful pause in this lush sanctuary.
For those preferring a gentler option, the shorter canyon floor walk offers an excellent alternative, winding through areas rich in native vegetation and birdlife. After the walk, enjoy a tasty lunch at your own expense to recharge, then return to the hotel, carrying lasting impressions of this extraordinary outback landscape.
