Today’s adventure highlights the stunning Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers, part of the southern Patagonian ice fields within Torres del Paine National Park.
Start early with a drive to the pier, where you will board a small vessel to cruise along Última Esperanza Bay toward these impressive glaciers. Along the way, marvel at the fjord-side mountains, dense forests, and keep an eye out for wildlife such as seals, cormorants, and condors around Monte Balmaceda. Your first stop is the Balmaceda Glacier, offering spectacular close-up views from the boat. Afterwards, the ship docks near Serrano Glacier, allowing a short hike to appreciate the glacier and its lagoon at close range.
Return to Puerto Natales for lunch, then continue deeper into Torres del Paine with your English-speaking driver, making several stops for photographs along the scenic route. In the evening, check in at Hotel Lago Grey within Paine Park to relax and spend the night.

Trekking through the park, you’ll encounter snow-capped peaks, massive glaciers floating in pristine waters, diverse wildlife hidden in wide open pampas, and lakes that mirror vibrant blue skies.
After a 45-minute drive to the park’s central area, embark on a moderately challenging hike to the Condor Lookout. Along the trail, take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. From the top, the lookout offers a panoramic vista of Pehoé Lake and the Paine Grande Massifs. With some luck, you may even spot majestic condors soaring above. After descending, return to Puerto Natales and check into your hotel for the evening.
